Finning Group (UK) Environmental Policy Statement
At Finning Group UK we recognise our responsibilities towards the local, national and global environment in which we carry out our business. We recognise that our customers, the public and our employees expect a responsible approach by the Company towards minimising the impact our activities have on the environment.
Accordingly we are committed to:-
- Meeting the standards imposed by Environmental Legislation and self imposed Corporate Policies/Standards relating to the Environment.
- Pollution Prevention and continual improvement in environmental performance, working within the framework of an Environmental Management System, meeting the requirements of ISO14001.
- Monitoring and maintaining an Environmental Management System that provides a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.
- Ensuring that environmental criteria are taken into account in the acquisition and operation of sites.
- Setting the standards for the selection and procurement of plant and equipment, with a view of fostering sound environmental performance.
- Working with customers to minimise the environmental impact of equipment in use on their site.
- Training personnel in environmental awareness to enable procedures to be followed to encourage the creation of an environmentally aware workforce.
- Promoting a culture of conservation through training.
- Promoting a good neighbour policy to minimise and respond to any adverse environmental effects we may have on others or on the environment.
- Effectively communicating this policy to all employees, major customers and other stakeholders.
