Caterpillar has introduced their new generation 'E' Series range of asphalt compactors. The 214E, 224E and 334E. Designed with maximum versatility in mind, these machines deliver enhanced versatility and can be used as the only compactor on small sized jobs.

With a choice of 1000mm wide drumson the 214E and 1200mm on the 224E, the machines are well suited for contractors maintaining streets, roads, alleys and pavements.

The high frequency 60Hz and drum width provide a tonnes-per-day production output that make them an excellent match for these types of applications.

Available through Finnpave exclusively for the UK surfacing industry, the 3 popular sized machines are packed full of new and improved features to deliver enhanced performance and reliability.

New Cat 'Tier 2' compliant liquid cooled engines have been introduced which have a significant impact on noise reduction and service intervals - now standard at 500 hours.

A pressurised water spray system is fitted as standard, as are roading/working lights indicators and a foldable ROPS bar on the 214E and 224E models. Operator comfort has also been developed with a new, easier to use dash layout and hydraulic forward and reverse control. The roomy operators station also provides excellent visibility to the drum edge, both at the front and rear.

A strengthened articulation hitch and improved rubber isolation mounts have also been introduced to increase reliability and performance attributes.
